THEATRE I & PRODUCTION II

Jennifer Brockette

Mrs. Brockette’s experience in theatre began at 4 when her mom took her to a local audition for a movie and got the part.  From there she began performing on stage at age 7 and never looked back. Mrs. Brockette is looking forward to getting to know each and everyone of you this year as you start (or continue) on your journey with Academy Theatre.  She can't wait to show you what is in store!

Corey Cox

TECH I & PRODUCTION I

A graduate from Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Mr. Cox is constantly inspired by the amazing talent found in Texas youth. He fully believes in the power of empathy & kindness through theatre & the positive impact Fine Arts has on young lives. As a theatre teacher, he believes a class to be a safe environment for all students, no matter the background or situation. It is important to create a kind and effective building space for all.

Jennifer Polanksy

AUDITORIUM MANAGER

Mrs. Polanksy spent 20 years as a professional stagehand doing Broadway, rock & roll tours, and a brief stint in the circus.  She is a graduate of the University North Carolina School of the Arts, and a retired IATSE member. Some of my favorite positions were with the Washington National Opera Tour (to Japan), memorable summers in New England doing Summer Stock, and those events that gave me the opportunity to meet five US presidents. She loves that her position with the district allows her to interact with students and teachers across many schools.
